Busch's Critique of Tidö Colleagues: Not Taken Seriously
Ebba Busch criticizes her colleagues in the Tidö collaboration. The KD leader believes that the other parties do not take healthcare issues seriously. "Unfortunately, they are not interested in this," she tells Aftonbladet.
During Almedalsveckan in Visby, KD has once again brought their key issue—healthcare—back to the agenda.
The party has launched a series of proposals in the area, including a 'stop law' against the closure of hospitals and health centers, as well as measures to shorten healthcare queues.
Criticism of Tidö Colleagues
However, in attempts to anchor the proposals with the other Tidö parties—M, L, and SD—they have encountered resistance. According to Busch, interest in healthcare issues is lukewarm within the collaboration.
"Unfortunately, they are not interested in this. That's why I have to go to the voters and seek a renewed mandate for some bold healthcare reforms," she tells Aftonbladet.
She explains that there is great pride in having pushed through what she describes as a "paradigm shift" in migration and justice policy, but it comes to a halt as soon as healthcare is discussed.
During Expressen's questioning in Almedalen, Busch elaborates on her reasoning.
"It requires a bit more determination in political decisions, and not just in migration, defense, and justice policy. We must dare to transfer that to other areas, including healthcare."
Busch: Then S Comes in the Outer Lane
According to Busch, the bourgeois parties have a "terrible" self-confidence when it comes to welfare issues, which she believes could lead to losing the next election.
"Then Magdalena Andersson comes with those issues in the outer lane, and then I think we need better answers than we have today. We are here to help," she says.
