Veronica Maggio's Concert at Gröna Lund Reaches Capacity Early

The amusement park filled up in record time

Many visitors to Djurgården in Stockholm were turned away at the door. By 3:45 PM, the gates were closed for Veronica Maggio's concert, which was set to begin at 8:00 PM.

The park anticipated a total of 17,000 visitors, reaching full capacity.

– It's quite unusual, and we've never closed this early before, I can say. But with all the pre-purchased tickets, we could already see that it would be full in front of the main stage, says Annika Troselius, press manager, to Expressen.

– It shows just how incredibly popular an artist Veronica Maggio is.

This is the ninth time Veronica Maggio has performed at Gröna Lund, and before tonight, Marcus and Martinus held the record for the earliest closed entrance. When they performed in 2016, the entrance closed at 5:00 PM.

– I haven't been at the entrance, but as I understand it, the closure went smoothly. We also make sure to inform our transport companies so they can inform both boats and trams to notify guests who might be planning to come out, says the press manager.
