Nazi Vera Oredsson, 97, has been appointed as the new editor for the Nordic Resistance Movement's propaganda site, Nordfront. Earlier this year, she was convicted of hate speech.
Vera Oredsson takes over as the responsible editor for the Nazi Nordic Resistance Movement's online newspaper, Nordfront.
This was announced by Nordfront on their website.
She succeeds Elin Reinhardt.
Convicted for Hate Speech
In May this year, Vera Oredsson was convicted of hate speech.
This followed her derogatory comments about Arabs and Africans on Nordfront in 2023.
The comment on the site led to her being charged with hate speech and convicted against her denial in the Falu District Court.
Oredsson has also previously been suspected of making a Nazi salute during an NMR demonstration in 2016 and was charged with hate speech. However, she was acquitted of the crime three years later in the Court of Appeal, writes Expo.
Grew Up in Berlin
Vera Oredsson grew up in Nazi Germany where she joined the Hitler Youth at the age of 14.
In 1945, she came to Sweden and has been a party leader for the Nazi Nordic Reich Party (NRP). Today, the 97-year-old is active in NMR, where she has been appointed an honorary member, writes Expo.
NMR and its previous editors have been charged and convicted multiple times for hate speech.
