Vandalism Strikes Bröd & Salt Café in Stockholm Again

A person threw a can of white paint at Bröd & Salt early Wednesday morning. This marks the second attack on the café in a short time.

– Since the person threw paint, there were paint trails as they ran, says Carina Skagerlind of the police.

A glass door was shattered when a person threw a can of white paint at Bröd & Salt in Marieberg on Kungsholmen in Stockholm around 4 AM on Wednesday.

Witnesses then saw a person running from the scene.

– Since the person threw paint, there were paint trails as they ran. We have searched with dogs in the tracks this morning, says Carina Skagerlind, police spokesperson.

No one has been arrested yet. The police continue their search by speaking with witnesses and reviewing surveillance footage in the area.

– We have a broken glass door, and it is a case of vandalism, says Carina Skagerlind.

Previous Incident in July

The café employees arrived early in the morning to find the window shattered. They are now waiting to start work.

– We were supposed to open at 7 AM, says one of them to Expressen.

This is the second time in a short period that Bröd & Salt has been vandalized. On July 4th this year, an unknown perpetrator broke a window at the café and threw in pyrotechnics.

No one was injured in the incident. An investigation into public endangerment or aggravated vandalism was initiated.
