The Tiktok influencer believed he was meeting his ex-girlfriend. Instead, he was knocked unconscious, stomped on the face, and robbed of his gold necklace.
The man in question is a major figure on Tiktok, earning his living from social media.
– "I am a Tiktok live streamer. I'm a big creator," he stated during questioning.
– "Many people know me from there. I'm quite famous there. It's very common. People know who I am."
Over a year ago, the influencer was in a relationship with a woman in her mid-20s. The relationship ended, and she married another man.
Later, the Tiktok star and the woman reconnected and discussed meeting over the phone.
– "I just thought we should be a bit more alone," the woman suggested.
"Selling me for money..."
The influencer became suspicious.
– "Is this a setup?"
– "What's a setup?" the woman replied.
– "That you're selling me for money and planning to harm me."
A "setup" is slang for luring someone into a trap where they are subjected to violence.
– "Why would I do that? You know me," the woman said.
What the influencer didn't know: Her new husband was beside her, recording the conversation and directing her words.
"Boom! A kick to the face"
On the evening of November 11, 2024, they were set to meet.
The influencer and his ex-girlfriend met at the agreed location.
But something was off.
– "Then three men appeared right in front of me," the Tiktok star recounted during questioning.
– "I was in shock. I thought, 'Oh shit, what's happening? Am I being set up? Is this it?' So I froze. I first thought, what the hell is happening?"
The ex-girlfriend left as the three men attacked the influencer. They filmed parts of the assault.
– "Boom! I got a kick to the face."
– "And I completely blacked out. I was out cold."
When he came to, he noticed one of the men was stealing his jewelry.
– "Boom! Another kick. I was completely out. So disgusting."
Woman's Letter: "I Want to Apologize"
Several months after the assault, on April 1 this year, the woman and two of the men dressed in black were arrested.
From custody, the ex-girlfriend sent a handwritten letter to the Tiktok star.
"I swear on the Quran that I didn't know this would happen. I swear by Allah that I didn't know. I swear on my uncle's grave that I didn't know," she wrote, among other things.
"I'm crying as I write this."
"I want to apologize for everything."
According to the district court, it is clear that the woman lured the influencer to the location. However:
"Luring someone to a place is not in itself a crime," the verdict states.
The district court is not sure that the ex-girlfriend understood what she was involved in. She was acquitted of the aggravated robbery charge.
Sentenced to Prison
Her husband and another man were convicted of aggravated assault, receiving sentences of one year and ten months and one and a half years in prison, respectively.
They were acquitted of the aggravated robbery charges as they blamed the third man, who is now deceased.
"There is nothing in the investigation that indicates (the husband) and (the accomplice) handled the stolen goods," the district court wrote in its verdict.
The men are ordered to pay nearly 50,000 kronor each in damages to the influencer.
– "What I can say at this point is that we have not yet decided whether to appeal the verdict," said the woman's husband's lawyer.
Prosecutor Magnus Pettersson is considering an appeal.
Expressen has sought comments from the other man's lawyer and the Tiktok star's legal representative.
