Four Swedish nationals were arrested following a violent brawl at the tourist hotspot of Ulcinj in Montenegro. One person was seriously injured in the chaos. In total, nine young men from various countries were involved, according to local media.
A violent altercation erupted on the popular Mala plaza beach in Ulcinj, Montenegro, on Thursday. Police detained nine men in their 20s from different countries who clashed on the beach.
The incident began when a Swedish citizen attacked an American citizen following an exchange of words inside a beachside nightclub, reports the Montenegrin newspaper Vijesti. The Swede struck the American multiple times in the head.
Four of those arrested are from Sweden, while the others are from the USA and the UK. A local resident was also detained.
"They punched and kicked each other in the head and body," writes Vijesti. One person was seriously injured.
The individuals involved were brought before a court in Budva and fined a total of 5,600 kronor.
