A person has been found dead in central Lysekil.
"We do not rule out that it is a crime," says Fredrik Svedemyr of the police.
At 04:23, the police were alerted to central Lysekil. A person had been found deceased outdoors.
"Initially, it was reported as a cardiac arrest, but after multiple patrols arrived, we could not rule out the possibility of a crime," says police spokesperson Fredrik Svedemyr.
The police are now investigating a suspected murder or manslaughter. Central parts of Lysekil are cordoned off for a technical investigation, and police are conducting interviews on site.
There is no identity for the deceased, and no one is currently suspected.
"There is no danger to the public," says Fredrik Svedemyr.
