Shooting Targeted at Warner Music Sweden: A Retaliation for Supporting Rapper C. Gambino

A shooting in Stockholm targeted Warner Music Sweden, allegedly as retribution for releasing music by the late rapper C. Gambino. The incident, which occurred early Tuesday, resulted in no injuries but shattered windows. Police suspect the motive is linked to Warner's association with the rapper, who was involved with a criminal network. Previous threats and violence have been directed at Warner representatives, and a recent court case sentenced a teenager for related offenses.

Shooting Targeted at Warner Music Sweden: A Retaliation for Supporting Rapper C. Gambino

Shooting Targeted at Warner Music Sweden

The shooting last night at a doorway in Stockholm is believed to have been aimed at Warner Music Sweden as punishment for the company releasing music by the murdered rapper C. Gambino, according to Expressen.

Around 4 AM on Tuesday, shots were fired at a doorway in Vasastan, Stockholm. Windows were shattered, but no one was injured.

An investigation into aggravated weapons offenses has been launched. No arrests had been made by Tuesday afternoon.

Warner Music Sweden AB has its headquarters at the address, and according to information from Expressen, the police suspect that the motive is linked to this location.

Representatives of the company have previously been subjected to threats and violence related to Warner's release of rapper C. Gambino's music.

Karar Ramadan, his real name, was shot dead in a parking garage in Hisingen, Gothenburg, in June last year. The year before, he had signed a contract with Warner Music Sweden.

Motive: Warner Supported the Enemy

Karar Ramadan was not himself convicted of serious crimes but associated with individuals in the criminal network Norra Biskop, which has had a bloody conflict with rivals Södra Biskop for years.

In early February this year, a manager at Warner Music Sweden received a threatening message demanding a payment of 250,000 euros. Otherwise, he would be subjected to an explosion. Dagens ETC was the first to report this.

"C. Gambino and his northern network are our enemies. You have helped him with contracts, advances, and financial success, which he has used to finance his friends against us," the message to the manager stated, according to Dagens ETC.

"It is expressed that he should pay for benefiting C. Gambino, and thereby also the criminal network in northern Biskopsgården," prosecutor Katarina Johansson told SVT's Kulturnyheterna.

Teenage Boy Convicted – Threats Continue

A few weeks later, an explosive device detonated at an address linked to the Warner manager. A teenage boy from Gothenburg was sentenced last week in the Court of Appeal to eight months of closed juvenile care for the crime.

According to information from Expressen, two more employees at Warner Music Sweden have since been subjected to threats related to the collaboration with the rapper.

Expressen has sought Warner Music Sweden, which has not responded.
