Prince Carl Philip's Design Triumph: Bernadotte & Kylberg's 3.1 Million Profit Surge
Prince Carl Philip's blankets and candlesticks are generating millions. After last year's loss of 2.4 million SEK, the design company Bernadotte & Kylberg has now achieved a substantial profit.
The primary driver of this success is the focus on their own brand, which sells drink cabinets for 98,000 SEK, yielding impressive results.
Prince Carl Philip's design company has noted a significant upswing.
Design firm Bernadotte & Kylberg AB increased its turnover by 440 percent in 2024, from a loss of 2.4 million SEK in 2023 to a profit of 3.1 million SEK last year.
Bernadotte & Kylberg AB is run in collaboration with design partner and childhood friend Oskar Kylberg, with a current focus on building the brand of the same name.
"The focus in 2024 has been to continue the development of the Bernadotte & Kylberg brand," they state in the company's annual report.
"The investments made in 2023 have borne fruit in 2024, alongside several successful external assignments for both existing and new clients. This has led to improved results in 2024."
What the Prince Does with the Million-Dollar Profit
In 2024, they launched "The Tulip," a handmade brass tealight holder priced at 1,400 SEK each.
The Eriksberg furniture series, inspired by the nature reserve of the same name in Blekinge, also debuted last year.
A "tribute to the natural world" in oak and brass, where a cabinet costs up to 98,000 SEK and a chair is priced at 15,900 SEK.
The annual report notes that the entire profit of 3.1 million SEK will be reinvested in Bernadotte & Kylberg AB, and shareholders Prince Carl Philip and Oskar Kylberg will not take any dividends.
