A police operation is ongoing in the area around Järfälla church, north of Stockholm. A large area has been cordoned off. According to reports from Expressen, police have found hand grenades at the site.

– It all started when a teenage boy hurriedly ran away upon seeing the police earlier today. As I understand it, he managed to run around the area quite a bit. We suspected he might have disposed of something during his run – but we didn't know what, says Daniel Wikdahl from the police.

– Since then, we have been searching. We have now made some discoveries. At the moment, I cannot disclose what they are.

Suspected Young Man Apprehended

We have information that you have found hand grenades. Can you comment on that?

– I do not comment on reports. At the moment, I cannot disclose what it is.

The police apprehended the young man.

– He is in custody. I do not know the exact status, says Daniel Wikdahl.

Forensic technicians and the national bomb squad arrived at the scene shortly after 9 PM.
