Ahmed Fawzi, 27, a prominent figure in the Foxtrot criminal network, has been arrested in Iraq, according to reports from SVT.
Described as a key associate of Rawa Majid, Fawzi was apprehended by local security police in Erbil, located in the Kurdish region of Iraq, as per SVT News sources.
The suspicions against him include incitement to murder, conspiracy to murder, and preparation for murder. One case involves the fatal shooting of a 56-year-old father of three in Skurup last August. Following the shooting, the 27-year-old was detained in absentia, suspected of ordering the murder.
Ordered Murders Under the Alias 'Dybala'
He is also known as 'Dybala' and has been wanted by both Interpol and Swedish police. From exile in Iraq, he is believed to have orchestrated murder plans against a relative of rival leader Ismail 'Strawberry' Abdo in 2023.
In the messaging service Signal, the intermediary between the client and the executors used the alias 'Dybala21'. It is likely that Fawzi was behind 'Dybala21', according to the police.
