
Fabian Zetterlund Stays in NHL with Lucrative Contract
Swedish national team forward Fabian Zetterlund, 25, will remain in the NHL and the Canadian capital. This was announced by Ottawa on X.
Zetterlund has signed a three-year contract reportedly worth 124 million SEK, according to the Ottawa Citizen.
The 25-year-old Swedish forward was traded to Ottawa from San Jose just before the transfer window closed. The former Färjestad player scored a total of 19 goals and 41 points in 84 games last season.
Zetterlund nearly triples his salary, with the contract averaging 4.275 million USD per season, equivalent to over 41 million SEK.
Fabian Zetterlund won a World Championship bronze with Tre Kronor in 2024 and also participated in the championship the previous year.
