Until recent weeks, most shrugged off the relationship, it is said. But now, after the filming revelation, many claim Jessica Stegrud's relationship with Nick Alinia is being discussed at a high level.

– She will probably have to choose between him or the party, says a source.

Sources emphasize that discussions aim to make Stegrud understand that she is getting into trouble through her relationship. Some argue it is highly inappropriate for a member of parliament to end up in situations that are widely questioned.

A source tells the newspaper:

SD's group leader Linda Lindberg has seen the film where Jessica Stegrud follows and films two teenagers with Nick Alinia.

On Thursday, Lindberg expressed surprise over this, saying:

– I want to have a calm conversation and form an opinion on what is really going on.

According to Expressen, Jessica Stegrud's future will be discussed. Sources do not rule out that the conversation with the group leader could lead to Stegrud being asked to leave her post.

If she refuses, she could become another of the parliament's political mavericks, but many believe the party can live with that since there is only a year left of the term.

Nick Alinia Was with Stegrud at Åkesson's Wedding

Expressen is seeking Jessica Stegrud. On Thursday, when the media gathered outside the parliament's social committee to get a comment from her, she was absent. On social media, she explained that she filmed the confrontation because she perceived the situation as threatening and wanted to document what happened.

SD's party leader Jimmie Åkesson says that questions about Stegrud are handled by the group leadership.

– I have nothing really to say about what has happened at this stage. For the simple reason that I do not have the full picture, it is the group leadership that is trying to get it, says Åkesson.

When Jimmie Åkesson got married last September, Nick Alinia was one of the guests, appearing in the company of Jessica Stegrud.

– I have encountered Nick Alinia in various contexts. Primarily when he has been in the company of someone else. He is not a person I socialize with or have any political exchange with in any way, says Jimmie Åkesson.
