Center Party's Response to Kristersson's Call for Growth Collaboration

Center Party leader emphasizes the party's role following the Prime Minister's proposal for cooperation on growth and entrepreneurship.

In his late summer speech, Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M) proposed broader collaboration among the right-wing parties on growth issues.

Kristersson spoke about the need for a common "growth pact" to strengthen Sweden in a situation where the economy is sluggish and unemployment remains high.

Center Party's new leader, Anna-Karin Hatt, now responds to the Prime Minister's invitation. In a written statement, she sharply criticizes the government while highlighting that the Center Party has a central role to play in the issues Kristersson raises.

"In the past three years, the government, with the help of the Sweden Democrats, has pursued a policy that has placed Sweden at the bottom of the EU's growth league and created a job crisis. Creating good conditions for companies to both increase Sweden's growth and reduce Sweden's climate emissions is one of the Center Party's most important issues moving forward," writes Anna-Karin Hatt.

She also welcomes the Prime Minister's open acknowledgment of the Center Party's significance.

"That the Moderates now openly declare that the Center Party's policies are needed to strengthen Sweden's growth is good. The Center Party has the best policies for growth, entrepreneurship, and job creation."

Furthermore, Anna-Karin Hatt writes that the party will soon respond to Kristersson's invitation.
