Carl Bildt Criticizes Israel's Bombing Campaigns in the Middle East

Former Swedish Prime Minister Carl Bildt has criticized Israel's recent military actions in Yemen and other Middle Eastern countries. Following an Israeli attack on Houthi targets in Yemen, Bildt expressed his disapproval on social media, questioning Israel's frequent bombings in the region. This is not the first time Bildt has voiced strong opinions on Middle Eastern conflicts, previously comparing Netanyahu to Putin and condemning U.S. actions in Iran.

Carl Bildt Criticizes Israel's Bombing Campaigns in the Middle East

Following Israel's bombing of Yemen, former Prime Minister Carl Bildt reacted on X.

On Monday, the Israeli military confirmed they had bombed Houthi targets in Yemen. According to the IDF, military vehicles, fuel containers, and smuggled weapons were among the targets hit in the attack.

Shortly after, five people were killed in an Israeli attack on Jabalia in Gaza, reports Al-Jazeera.

Since October 7 last year, Israel has been responsible for over 17,000 attacks in five different countries in the Middle East, reports Al-Jazeera. The vast majority of these attacks have occurred in the Gaza Strip, followed by Lebanon and Syria.

After the latest attack on Yemen, former Prime Minister Carl Bildt reacted and wrote in a post on X:

"You wake up every morning and wonder which country in the Middle East Israel has bombed today."

This is not the first time Carl Bildt has sharply criticized the war in the Middle East. He has previously compared Netanyahu to Putin and when the U.S. attacked Iran, he called it "a clear violation of international law."
