A man in his 40s is suspected of murdering a woman in her 50s in central Landskrona.
The suspected crime is believed to have occurred in an apartment on Saturday evening around 8:30 PM.
"The suspected crime was discovered when emergency services were called to a residence in Landskrona due to a medical emergency," the police state on their website.
A man was arrested around 10 PM. He was detained overnight on suspicion of murder, which is the lower degree of suspicion.
"The investigation is in full swing and has been ongoing throughout the night," says Jörgen Winberg, duty investigation officer at the Helsingborg police.
The man and woman were known to each other. The residence has been cordoned off for a forensic examination.
Relatives have been notified.
