Will Dominika Peczynski Become the New Election General?

VISBY. Say what you will about the Liberals, but they are certainly responsible for creating drama during this year's mid-term Almedalsveckan.

Tuesday: Election of a new party leader, on-site in Visby. To make things extra exciting, they introduce Simona Mohamsson, 30 years old and completely untested on the national stage, which she will storm onto just an hour later.

Wednesday: Ministerial resignation. Mats Persson throws in the towel. Although not wildly unexpected—Persson's star was waning—it is still remarkable considering how many other top Liberals have already fled in panic this spring.

Wednesday, an hour later: New party secretary. Fredrik Brange is the lucky one, now becoming the Liberals' sixth party secretary in the past 40 months. Will he remain after the summer?

Friday: Announced government reshuffle, where Simona Mohamsson now has at least one new position to fill in addition to the one she gives herself when Johan Pehrson leaves the stage.

Thursday remains, now just a few hours away. Tension rises in the alleys of Visby. How will they top this?

Will Simona Mohamsson dissolve what remains of the party board and elect a new one?

Will Dominika Peczynski become the new election general?

Or will they settle for dealing with the legacy of Jan Björklund and do what Johan Pehrson mumbled about but never had the energy to tackle: Revert to the name Folkpartiet?

The only thing we know is that tomorrow will never quite be like today. At least not in the Circus of the Liberals.
