Vendela Jacobsson, 15, loves sneezing. She induces her sneezes by using a cotton swab in her nose. Now, she shares her unusual obsession on TikTok.

Vendela Jacobsson, 15, has always loved sneezing. Typically, she sneezes 10-25 times a day. The sneezes almost never happen naturally; she induces them in various ways.

– You can use a cotton swab in your nose or look at the sun. I've also heard you can pluck at the innermost part of your eyebrow, says Vendela.

Sometimes she uses her phone's flashlight. When she stares into the light long enough, she usually sneezes. But it's not her best method.

– It's the cotton swab, it's good.

Record: 40 Sneezes in One Day

A few years ago, she set a personal best for the number of sneezes, a record she still hasn't broken.

– I actually remember that. It was when I was 12 years old, and I sneezed 40 times in one day.

Unlike many other obsessions, this doesn't bother Vendela in her daily life.

– No, I really enjoy it. And many people know about it.

It's a bit more challenging at school, she says. Although Vendela sometimes thinks about sneezing during lessons and breaks, she refrains from doing it during school hours.

– You don't always have cotton swabs with you. So it's mostly inconvenient at school. But in the morning and after school, it always happens... Yes.

Vendela posted a video on TikTok where she shares that she is a 'sneezaholic'. The clip has over 360,000 views and a long comment section of people who thought they were alone in their sneezing obsession and who now say they've 'found their people'.

– Before I posted the 'TikTok', I thought people would think I'm completely crazy. But many related to it. And I was shocked.
