A man has stabbed a woman in the stomach in Götene.
At 11:18, an alarm was raised about a man stabbing a woman in the stomach in Götene municipality.
– The man is unknown to her; she does not know who he is, says Jens Andersson from the West Police Region.
The woman was conscious and able to speak when she was taken to the hospital by ambulance. There is currently no information about life-threatening injuries.
After the attack, the man disappeared from the scene.
– We have searched the nearby area with dogs and had a helicopter in the air. The search has not resulted in finding anyone, so we are moving into the investigation phase and trying to locate the perpetrator in other ways.
The incident is being investigated as attempted murder or alternatively aggravated assault.
