Union Takes Legal Action Against Telia Over Unjust Dismissal
An employee at Telia's customer service was fired. Now, Unionen is suing the telecom giant, arguing that the dismissal was without proper grounds.
The former worker was employed in Telia's customer service but was dismissed and forced to leave. This was reported by Nyhetsbyrån Siren.
According to Kollega, the union describes the work environment for the Telia employee as highly pressured, with long customer queues and high sales targets. The employee, along with several colleagues, allegedly called themselves to avoid negative figures in the job app. It was when this was discovered that they were dismissed, Kollega reports.
The union, on the other hand, claims there is no basis for the dismissal and is now suing the telecom giant in the Labor Court. Unionen is demanding damages of 120,000 kronor.
Additionally, the union requests that the former employee be compensated for lost wages, vacation pay, and pension contributions, totaling tens of thousands of kronor.
