Ullared Kicks Off Christmas Shopping in July

Gekås Ullared is getting a head start by selling Christmas decorations, even though it's only July.

It's the middle of summer, and many people are likely spending their days swimming, enjoying ice cream, and having picnics.

However, at the Gekås department store in Ullared, there's a festive atmosphere despite the summer heat. Customers can already purchase everything from Christmas decorations and Santa figures to wrapping paper and advent candle holders.

– I know it's a bit crazy to start selling Christmas decorations in July, but we're doing it for our customers. The demand is high every year. Many travel long distances and visit us perhaps only once a year, so they want to be able to shop for everything, including Christmas items, writes Patrik Levin, CEO of Gekås Ullared, in a press release.

– I'm a true Christmas lover myself, so I really don't mind starting a bit early. Considering the volumes we sell each year, I'm probably not alone in looking forward to it, says Patrik.
