Two men in their 20s have been shot in a car in Viksjö, Järfälla municipality, north of Stockholm, during the night leading into Wednesday. The police are conducting a major operation at the scene.
An area near a gas station has been cordoned off. Images from the scene show a car remaining within the cordoned area, with many police vehicles present.
– We received calls at a quarter to three that people had heard several bangs. Someone has shot at a car, and two men in their 20s have been injured, says police spokesperson Nadya Norton.
The men do not have life-threatening injuries. One of them has been taken to the hospital by ambulance.
– We have been able to speak with them, says Nadya Norton.
An investigation into attempted murder and serious weapons offenses has been initiated.
