Two Injured in Shooting Incident

Two individuals have been injured following a shooting in Flemingsberg, south of Stockholm. Police were first alerted to a disturbance in a stairwell. One person has been arrested and detained overnight, reports TT.

Police were notified of the disturbance at 7:45 PM on Thursday evening. A caller also reported hearing bangs that sounded like gunshots.

"On the scene, two injured men were found near the building. One of them is believed to have a gunshot wound," says police spokesperson Per Fahlström.

According to information from Expressen, the shooting occurred in an apartment. The gunshot victim was reportedly hit in the hand.

Both individuals have been taken to the hospital by ambulance. According to the police, both were conscious and able to speak.

"We have initiated a preliminary investigation regarding attempted murder and are now conducting a police operation at the scene. We will carry out a technical investigation," says Per Fahlström.

According to information from Expressen, one person has been arrested, and this person also has some injuries. A knife and a weapon have been found inside the apartment, according to reports.

Later in the night, police informed TT that the arrested person has been detained overnight.
