A car has crashed into a facade near a McDonald's in Uppsala. The vehicle displayed a learner's permit sign, according to images from the scene.

Police received an alert about a single-vehicle accident at 6:37 PM on Wednesday evening.

The accident occurred near the OKQ8 on Årstagatan in Uppsala, where a McDonald's is also located.

– The car drove into a wall of an outdoor seating area at a restaurant, not McDonald's, says Maria Hall, police spokesperson.

Two people, a woman in her 40s and a child under ten, have been taken to the hospital but were conscious when police and ambulance arrived.

A total of four people were in the car, but there are no reports of other injuries.

Driving Lesson Incident

The accident occurred during a driving lesson, according to the police.

Images from the accident site show the car had a learner's permit sign.

The car also appears to be a taxi in the images, but the police have not confirmed this.

– That's not something I've received any information about, says Maria Hall.
