A person in Lund municipality has died after home care services failed to visit them for four days. A lex Sarah report is now being filed with the Health and Social Care Inspectorate by the municipality.
The individual was supposed to receive visits from the home care service in Lund municipality both morning and evening, but after a hospital visit, the municipality reportedly forgot to schedule the visits.
When the home care service discovered the mistake after four days, they found the person dead in their apartment, reports Nyhetsbyrån Siren.
Assistance from an "Experienced Person"
To address the shortcomings in procedures, the current coordinator, who has been permanently employed in home care since 2018 according to the report, has received help from an "experienced person."
This is to prevent similar incidents from happening again.
All coordinators and planners will also undergo a "uniform training" planned to be conducted in September according to the report.
