Tragic Harvest Accident Claims Child's Life in Nyköping
On Sunday, a young child tragically died following an accident in Nyköping municipality. Sources have informed the newspaper ATL that the accident occurred during harvest work. A person is suspected of causing death by negligence in connection with the incident.
At 10:55 on Sunday, the alarm was raised about the accident. A young child had been struck in Nyköping municipality. The child was airlifted by ambulance helicopter but later died in the hospital.
On Monday, the newspaper ATL reported that the accident happened during harvest work on a farm.
“A Very Tragic Incident”
The Public Prosecutor's Office has launched a preliminary investigation into causing death by negligence following the accident.
“It is a very tragic incident. A person is suspected on probable grounds of causing death by negligence, but no one is in custody,” said Deputy Chief Prosecutor Adolf Moberg Oleszkiewicz in a press release.
