Tragic Accident in Stockholm: Car Crash Claims Life and Causes Fire

A car crashed into a bridge in Stockholm on Saturday, leading to a fire and the temporary closure of the E4 highway in the northbound direction. Police announced early Sunday that a man in his 60s died in the accident.

The incident occurred at the Haga Norra interchange, where a car collided with a bridge pillar. As a result, the car caught fire, prompting emergency services to respond and extinguish the blaze.

The cause of the car's collision with the bridge pillar remains unclear at this time.

"It is a serious accident," said police spokesperson Nadya Norton to TT.

The E4 was temporarily closed following the crash.

Man Dies After Accident

Early Sunday, police confirmed that a man in his 60s died in the accident.

"It was a single-vehicle accident with one person in the car," said Ida Abrahamsson, the duty officer at the police, to TT.

The accident occurred around 9 PM.
