A 24-year-old woman has died following a single-vehicle accident on County Road 771 near Sätra Brunn in Sala municipality on Wednesday evening. The woman was traveling in a car with four other people when the vehicle, for unknown reasons, overturned off the road.
– We were alerted at 21:35 and arrived at the scene with ambulance and rescue services. All were taken to the hospital, where it was unfortunately confirmed that a 24-year-old woman had died, says Fredrik Lindström, officer at the police region Mitt.
The other four individuals sustained minor injuries, reports Sala Allehanda.
Two women and three men aged between 20 and 25 were in the car.
– The car went off the road and overturned, that's what we know at the moment, says police spokesperson Maria Hall.
The police have filed a report on causing another's death and gross negligence in traffic. No one is currently suspected. The car has been seized.
