Top 12 Must-Watch TV Series This Summer

This year, there's no summer drought in TV – 'The Bear', 'Squid Game', and 'Wednesday' return with new seasons. SVT will also premiere a beloved classic.

'The Waterfront' (June 19, Netflix).

When patriarch Harlan (Holt McCallany) falls seriously ill, a family must make tough decisions that threaten their successful fishing business. Maria Bello and Topher Grace are the most notable names in the drama series' cast.

'Ironheart' (June 25, Disney+).

A Marvel series by Ryan Coogler set after 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever'. Tech genius Riri (Dominique Thorne) returns to college in Chicago, but being a superhero on campus isn't easy.

'The Bear' (June 26, Disney+).

Carmen's (Jeremy Allen White) dream has come true. The fine dining restaurant has opened, but keeping it afloat is no bed of roses. The critically acclaimed series returns with a fourth season.

'Smoke' (June 27, AppleTv+).

Crime writer Dennis Lehane is behind this thriller series about the hunt for two arsonists in the northwestern USA. Taron Egerton stars in the lead role.

'Squid Game' (June 27, Netflix).

A 1970s mystery in Småland: three youths, an Egyptian statue, and a curse. Based on Maria Gripe's and Kay Pollak's beloved radio series from 1976.

'Untamed' (July 17, Netflix).

A thriller series starring Eric Bana and Sam Neill. A murder occurs in Yosemite National Park, but the investigation also risks exposing secrets from the past.

'Poker Face' (July 17, SkyShowtime).

The 70s-inspired crime series is back. Natasha Lyonne plays the mysterious Charlie, always on the run and equipped with the superpower to always spot a liar.

'Chief of War' (August 1, AppleTv+).

A grand historical epic with Jason Momoa that tells the story of how Hawaii became a united kingdom in the 1800s, before the Americans came and occupied the paradise islands.

'Wednesday' (August 6, Netflix).

Wednesday (Jenna Ortega) returns to Nevermore Academy for the second season of the Addams Family spinoff. Four episodes are released now, with the second part of the season coming in September, featuring Lady Gaga in a role.
