Tone Sekelius Admits to Faking Boyfriend in PR Stunt
Tone Sekelius seemed to have found love—or so everyone thought. But:
"I'm still tragically single," she writes after a PR stunt that went completely wrong.
Recently, artist and influencer Tone Sekelius, 27, showcased a mysterious man on Instagram and TikTok.
In an interview with QX, she mentioned that her new single "I Know I Love You" is dedicated to the man in question.
– "Oh, this song is so incredibly special to me. I've always been so against writing love songs, but that's probably because I haven't had anything to draw inspiration, feeling, and authenticity from," she said, adding:
– "I don't want to talk much deeper about it, but this song is for him, and I wanted my followers to know that, but the rest I want to keep private."
Faked Love
Congratulations poured in on social media.
There was just one problem:
The boyfriend was fake—which made fans see red.
And now Tone Sekelius is apologizing on Instagram.
"You have been the world's sweetest to me but JOKE'S ON ME I'm still tragically single. It got so much bigger than expected so we continued for a while, wopsie," she writes.
