Three Pedestrians Struck by Car in Trelleborg

A car has struck three men in Trelleborg. All have been taken to the hospital.

The alarm reached the police at 10:30 PM on Wednesday evening. A car reportedly drove onto the sidewalk and hit three people on Bruksgatan in central Trelleborg. The vehicle then left the scene.

The victims are three men, one in his 20s and two in their 30s. All have been transported to the hospital, with one seriously injured.

– The extent of the injuries is unclear, but from what I can see, we have at least been able to speak with them, says Patric Fors.

Unknown Car and Driver

According to the police, the car is unknown to the three men.

There is no suspect at present.

– It is unclear what has occurred. Therefore, it is being classified as attempted murder. We do not know if it was intentional or an accident, but the driver chose to leave the scene, so we are classifying it as attempted murder for now, says Patric Fors.

The police are now seeking witness statements from the incident. They will also check for cameras at the location and gather technical evidence from the scene.
