Three Arrested for Racist Attacks in Stockholm

Three young men have been arrested on suspicion of violent attacks in Stockholm. One of them has documented right-wing extremist connections. The police are investigating the motive as a hate crime, reports Aftonbladet.

The incidents involve aggravated assault and assault of a normal degree on Birger Jarlsgatan and Kungsgatan in Stockholm on August 27.

According to information provided to Aftonbladet, three individuals with immigrant backgrounds were targeted. Witnesses reported that the men were performing Nazi salutes and shouting racist slurs while assaulting the victims, the newspaper reports.

Three men aged 20–25 have been detained for the crimes. One of them has documented connections to the right-wing extremist environment. Court documents reveal that there is also a fourth suspect who has not been detained.
