The Dark Reality Behind Åsa Vesterlund's Glamorous Life with Dr. Fredrik Berne

When TV personality Åsa Vesterlund met celebrity surgeon Fredrik Berne, she quickly fell for his charm. They lived a life of luxury, but beneath the polished surface lay a dark reality.

"I know I was terrified. I thought, my God, this is bad," she says about one of their arguments. What Åsa Vesterlund didn't know was that many others had suffered at Berne's hands—even on the operating table.

Many recognize Åsa Vesterlund from "Svenska Hollywoodfruar" as a strong-willed person with her feet on the ground.

While the series was being filmed, she met surgeon Fredrik Berne. They quickly began a relationship and lived a life of luxury and glamour together. But behind the perfect facade, something else was hidden.

Åsa Vesterlund's life was marked by control and violence.

"This didn't just happen for fifteen minutes and then it was over; this was terror for several hours before he fell asleep," she says about one of the arguments.

50 Ivo Complaints

In the podcast "Expressen Dok: Doktor Berne," you will hear:

  • How people close to Åsa Vesterlund noticed something was wrong and how she left the relationship but returned repeatedly, hoping it would get better.
  • About others who reported suffering at Berne's clinic—over 50 cases are with Ivo.
  • How selfies he sent to Åsa Vesterlund take on a whole new light—and have major consequences for Fredrik Berne's career.
  • A cry for help from his new girlfriend: "It turned my stomach and gave me goosebumps."
  • Berne's life of luxury: The money, the trips, and the expensive villa by the sea.

Expressen has contacted Fredrik Berne several times to get his side of the story but has not been able to secure an interview. However, he writes to Expressen that the accusations are fabricated and that images have been manipulated. He also claims that women and former patients are campaigning against him.
