The Adventurous Life of Anders Eriksson: A Journey Through Chaos and Creativity

Is it Anders Eriksson's ADHD brain that keeps the Summer Host young? After hearing Eriksson, 82, recount a lifetime of wild adventures, I am as impressed as I am exhausted.

Eriksson is famous for Rosa Bussarna, the hippie-like travel agency that has been exploring the world in a unique way for at least 40 years.

And how he dazzles in his program.

He crosses the pathless Sahara Desert but leaves his friend Bengt behind in a Bedouin tent. Sleeps on the bus roof next to 20,000 hungry crocodiles. Gets stuck in a mountain tunnel in Kashmir, clearly too narrow for the bus, and he knows it. But hey? It must work anyway!

Eriksson makes it through the eye of the needle. Proud as can be of the feat that surely made hundreds of drivers despise him after hours of chaotic queues.

The busman has turned his adventurous spirit into a business idea. It's amazing to get paid to experience all those wild dreams.

For the listener, unfortunately, it's a chaotic mess, as life in its unedited form tends to be.

ADHD, that's his homemade diagnosis. I'm just a Doctor Google, but he's probably right. The curse, which is also a superpower. It makes one get stuck in tunnels, but also perform small miracles.
