Teenage Boy Found Dead on Bridge in Ljusdal

The 17-year-old boy who was found severely injured on the Älvbron bridge in Ljusdal last night has died. Police are appealing for information about the incident.

At around 1:40 AM on Friday, the teenager was discovered bleeding on a bridge in Ljusdal.

– It's a fairly long bridge, and a passerby found the boy in the middle of it. He was seriously injured, says Magnus Jansson Klarin, the police spokesperson, after the boy was found.

The boy was taken to the hospital by ambulance but later passed away. His family has been notified.

Police are investigating the incident and are conducting a technical examination of the scene. At present, no violent crime is suspected.

– However, other crimes, such as if he was hit by a vehicle at the location, are being considered, says Magnus Jansson Klarin.

Police Appeal for Information

Throughout the day, several tips from the public have been received by the police. They continue to appeal for information.

– It is very unclear what happened, and we are now trying to map out the boy's life before this. That's why we want observations from the public.
