SOS Alarm experienced technical issues on Thursday afternoon. The problems resulted in delayed dispatch and direction of ambulances, reports SVT News.
"There was a sluggishness in our systems," says Sarah Hummerdal, spokesperson for SOS Alarm, to SVT.
The issues, which have been resolved, affected the entire country and lasted for an hour.
Now, the consequences are being evaluated.
When asked if the problems meant that people in need of an ambulance were left without, Sarah Hummerdal responds:
"That is exactly the kind of thing we are looking into right now."
The cause of the technical problems is unknown. However, according to SOS Alarm, it is not due to any external influence; the source of the error is believed to be internal.
