The Thai immigration police had planned the operation in which the man was arrested, and it was carried out on Tuesday, according to Khaosod.
The man was reportedly arrested in his villa in Chonburi province, where the city of Pattaya is located.

“UD is aware that a Swedish man in his 30s from Götaland has been detained in Thailand in August 2025. We do not provide further details due to consular confidentiality,” they wrote in an email.
According to Khaosod, the man has been internationally wanted on suspicion of drug crimes. He is alleged to have been involved in running a site where drugs are sold, the newspaper reports.
