Want to play floorball or learn to play the drums? Now, all children aged 8-16 receive a free allowance through the new 'Leisure Card' for activities.

Starting in September, children aged 8-16 will receive 500 or 2,000 SEK per year for leisure activities. Everyone is entitled to at least 500 SEK. Those living in households that received housing benefits last year will receive more, 2,000 SEK per year.

The 'Leisure Card' is a government initiative to encourage children to be more active, explore new activities, and meet other children.

The card is digital, and to use it, the leisure organization must have applied to be included in the 'Leisure Card' register.
