Sven-Erik, 74, and His 44-Year-Younger Partner Julia Enjoy a Romantic Getaway
Sven-Erik Sjögren, 74, known from SVT's 'Hotell romantik', spent the midsummer weekend in Norway with his 29-year-old girlfriend, Julia Moritz. – We went skinny dipping, Sven-Erik shares. The couple rode a motorcycle from Gothenburg and faced some drama on the highway on their way back.
In the 2024 season of 'Hotell romantik', Sven-Erik Sjögren, 74, made a memorable impression with his green mankini and notable remarks.
However, he left the SVT show early and did not find love as the reality series intended.
Instead, he found love after the filming: with 44-year-younger Julia Moritz. The age difference is not a concern for the couple.
– It doesn't matter at all, Sven-Erik previously told Expressen, and his girlfriend agrees.
– When I meet him, I don't see age. Of course, I've thought about how it will be, but the more I talk to him, the less I notice his age. I just see a wonderful man and a nice person, Julia told Expressen.
The Couple's Midsummer Weekend in Norway
The couple spent the midsummer weekend in northern Norway in brilliant sunshine and warm temperatures. They rode a motorcycle from Gothenburg and toured the Norwegian mountains, just as they did last August.
– We went skinny dipping in cold mountain streams. It's wonderful, it makes you feel alive. We also swam and fed small ducks in lakes. There was a small festival in Kongsberg that we attended, Sven-Erik tells Expressen.
Rating the Love
When Expressen calls, the couple is having coffee in the sun on the border between Norway and Sweden, on their way back to Gothenburg where Sven-Erik lives.
– It's been very cozy. I really like the Norwegian nature. I live in Skåne, which is very flat with lots of meadows and such. It's nice in its way, but Norway is beautiful with many mountains and rivers, says Julia.
The couple has a long-distance relationship between the West Coast and Skåne and finds it works well.
– It works perfectly. It couldn't be better, says Sven-Erik.
Drama on the Highway
However, just outside Gothenburg, drama ensued when the couple got a flat tire in the middle of the highway. The whole motorcycle started shaking.
"You get a lot of thoughts in your head, and for a few seconds, you think the worst," Julia writes in a text message to Expressen.
The couple managed to stop the motorcycle, and it was towed from the scene, Julia explains.
"We are unharmed but very shaken by what happened. Not a fun end to the Norway vacation," Julia writes in a text message to Expressen.
