Suspected Shooting in Jönköping: One Injured, Suspect Arrested

A man has been injured in Jönköping following reports of a suspected shooting. After the incident, a suspect has been apprehended.

– A house search was recently conducted, leading to the arrest of a suspect, says duty officer Erik Creutz.

The alarm was received by the police at 12:30 AM on Friday.

– We received several calls reporting what was perceived as gunfire, says duty officer Erik Creutz.

Shortly thereafter, a man arrived at the emergency room.

– The individual, in his 30s, has injuries that we believe are likely gunshot wounds. We suspect the shooting occurred outdoors at a central location in Jönköping.

The condition of the injured person is unclear, but the injuries are reported to be serious.

– Whether the injuries are life-threatening or not, I have no information. What I've heard is that the individual is going for an X-ray and likely surgery.

A major operation is underway at the suspected crime scene, and a technical investigation will be conducted overnight.
