After a period of intense summer heat, Sweden is experiencing cooler temperatures. However, meteorologists predict a return of the heat in mid-August, with significant warmth expected in late August.

Summer Heat Expected to Return in August
Summer Heat Expected to Return in August
After a period of intense summer heat in many parts of the country, we are now returning to more typical summer temperatures. However, the heat may return later in August.
In the coming days, it will be cooler in many areas of the country following a July marked by heat warnings, heavy rain warnings, and heatwaves across large parts of the nation.
In parts of Norrland, the summer heat continues, with a risk of showers in northwestern Sweden. Rain and showers are also expected in many other parts of the country during the week.
– It is most unstable in Svealand, says Ida Dahlström, meteorologist at SMHI.
The Heat Returns
But for those missing the summer heat, all is not lost – according to meteorologist Lasse Rydqvist at Klart, it will get warmer again in mid-August.
"From week 33, warm weather is expected to dominate, with the most significant deviations of more substantial heat seen during weeks 34 to 35," he writes.
So far, the forecast regarding the heat shift remains uncertain.
Both weeks 31 and 32 are expected to be wet in northern Sweden, while dry weather returns as early as week 32 in southern Sweden.
