Street Musician Brutally Attacked in Central Örebro

A street musician was brutally kicked down in central Örebro during the night leading into Wednesday.

– It was extremely brutal and ruthless, says police spokesperson Lars Hedelin.

He now urges the public to share their testimonies.

It was just before midnight between Tuesday and Wednesday when a street musician in his 50s was brutally assaulted in central Örebro. A police patrol nearby found the severely injured man and called for an ambulance.

The police describe the violence as brutal and ruthless.

– We have surveillance cameras in the area and could see how the perpetrator takes a run-up, charges, and kicks the person in the head. The victim was completely unprepared. It is deadly violence, thank goodness he is alive, says Lars Hedelin, spokesperson for the Bergslagen police region.

Special Forces Involved in Arrest

With the help of surveillance footage, the police identified the perpetrator, a man in his 40s residing in Örebro.

In the morning, several police patrols, along with reinforcements from the special forces, conducted a search of the suspect's apartment. The man was arrested, and the act is classified as aggravated assault.

The police now urge the public to share any witness accounts.

– The investigation looks promising. But we want people with information to come forward, even if it doesn't seem significant, it's important to provide us with the pieces of the puzzle you have.
