The rise comes after the New York Stock Exchange's S&P 500 index closed at a new record level on Wednesday evening. However, chip giant Nvidia fell in after-hours trading after releasing new interim figures.
On the Stockholm Stock Exchange, mining giant Boliden leads with a 1.2% increase, while Astra Zeneca moves in the opposite direction with a 0.3% decline.
In the morning, Bioarctic released interim figures, with shares rising 6% after the company turned an operating loss into a profit. Similarly, medical technology company Elekta rises over 3% on its report.
