Karl-Johan Persson, former CEO of H&M and son of previous owner Stefan Persson, is currently the chairman of the fashion empire and one of Sweden's wealthiest individuals, being among the few Swedish billionaires.
This allows him to host grand birthday parties, which he did on Friday. Although he turned 50 in March, he invited guests to a celebration at Rosendals Trädgård on Djurgården in Stockholm on Friday.
The event was filled with celebrities. One of the guests was Princess Madeleine, who arrived early in an elegant gold dress priced at over 23,000 kronor. She was accompanied by her husband Chris O'Neill and close friend Louise “Lussan” Thott.
Her sister, Sweden's Crown Princess Victoria, was also present, wearing a black blazer and wide, floral-patterned trousers.
According to Aftonbladet, artists Petter and Linnea Henriksson rehearsed on Thursday for the party. On Anders Timell's Instagram video from the event, Mauro Scocco can be seen performing “Sarah,” accompanied by a hearty sing-along from the guests.
Celebrity-Filled
Other notable guests included podcaster and author Alex Schulman, actress Josephine Bornebusch, and Bosse Andersson, sports director for Djurgården.
The birthday celebrant's father, Stefan Persson, naturally did not want to miss the party. He was one of the first guests to arrive, accompanied by his wife.
Stefan Persson is the son of H&M's founder, Erling Persson, who started the company in 1947.
