A man in his 30s was shot at on Tuesday evening in Katrineholm. The man escaped unharmed, and several individuals have been arrested following the incident.
"They simply missed him," said duty officer Björn Wessman.
Shortly before 10 PM on Tuesday, police were alerted to an address in Katrineholm following reports of loud bangs. A large number of officers were dispatched to the scene, but initially, the police could not confirm that it was a shooting.
By 3 AM, early Wednesday, the police confirmed that a shooting had occurred. A man in his 30s was shot at the scene, but the shots missed, and the person was unharmed.
"However, at least one car at the scene was hit, which we have seized for further investigation," said duty officer Björn Wessman.
Multiple Arrests
At around 2 AM, several arrests were made at another address in Katrineholm. The police have not disclosed the exact number of people arrested.
"There could be more arrests; we'll see," said Wessman.
The reason why the man was targeted in the shooting is unclear. He also does not appear to have been known to the police previously.
"To my knowledge, he is not known to the police," said Wessman.
The case is being investigated as an attempted murder.
