While Sweden's southern regions will experience rain, the north continues to endure a heatwave with temperatures reaching up to 33 degrees Celsius. Danish authorities have issued severe weather warnings, and Swedish meteorologists predict local rain in Skåne, Blekinge, and southern Småland.

Severe British Rainstorm Approaches Southern Sweden
The UK is bracing for a month's worth of rain in just one day. This rainstorm is also heading towards southern Sweden, but Denmark is expected to be hit hardest. The Danish equivalent of SMHI, DMI, has issued red and orange warnings across large parts of the country.
SMHI extended the yellow heat warning for parts of northeastern Norrland on Monday afternoon. Temperatures are expected to reach up to 30 degrees, with some areas possibly hitting 33 degrees.
The heat is expected to last until Thursday or Friday, but rain is forecasted for the south by Tuesday. The British storm will primarily affect Denmark and the southernmost parts of Sweden.
Danish Warnings: “Very Dangerous”
According to Danish Ekstra Bladet, Østjylland, the entire island of Funen, and large parts of Zealand are at risk of “very dangerous weather.”
Warning SMS messages about the storm and advice to avoid areas at risk of flooding have been sent to 250,000 Danes.
The Danish police on the island of Funen are also urging assistance for tourists with this information. A crisis team has been activated.
Impact on Sweden
Weather warnings in Denmark are in effect until Tuesday, but no warnings have been issued for Sweden yet.

In Ystad, Simrishamn, and Karlskrona, 10-15 millimeters of rain are expected, compared to up to 237 millimeters that could fall in a day in Denmark.
– It will be windy in Skåne but not stormy, says Josefine Qvarnesjö-Bergstedt.
In northeastern Västerbotten and the parts of eastern Norrbotten covered by the heat warning, a weather change is also expected. Rain will arrive from the west on Saturday and Sunday.
