SD Politician Dan Björk Resigns After Revelations

Dan Björk, a politician from the Sweden Democrats (SD), has stepped down from his role as vice chairman of Åhus port following an exposé by Expressen revealing his attendance at a party with members of Cobra MC and Bandidos MC. This was reported by Kristianstadsbladet.

In early 2016, Cobra MC organized a party in Sjöbo as the club was being integrated into the criminal motorcycle gang Bandidos after a period of rapprochement. Dan Björk (SD) was among those present.

Since 2022, Björk has been on the board of Åhus hamn & stuveri AB, where the municipality is the majority owner. In March this year, he was re-elected as vice chairman of the company.

When asked by Expressen if he found it strange to attend a party with Bandidos, Dan Björk responded:

– Yes, but that's not what it's about. If there are people around from different groups, that's just how it is at motorcycle parties, so it's normal. All kinds of people are there.

Kristianstadsbladet now reports that he resigned from his position as vice chairman on Thursday.

Expressen's investigation has revealed that 25 SD politicians have connections to criminal motorcycle gangs.
