Sabrina Carpenter Responds to Criticism with New Album Cover
The cover of Sabrina Carpenter's new album sparked a storm of criticism among fans. She has now changed her mind and launched a version with an alternative image.
When Sabrina Carpenter revealed the cover image for her new album "Man's Best Friend" a few weeks ago, the criticism was swift. The image depicted the star on all fours on the floor while an unknown man in a suit pulled her hair straight up.
Carpenter's Instagram comments quickly filled with outraged fans who felt the image was sexist and demeaning to women. Carpenter initially responded that she "didn't give a damn" about the criticism.
However, she seems to have reconsidered. Her website now offers several copies of the album with a completely new cover.
"Here is a new alternative cover, approved by God," she writes on Instagram.
American Sabrina Carpenter broke through to a large audience last year with songs like "Espresso" and "Please Please Please." In April this year, she performed two sold-out concerts in Stockholm.
