Saab Executive Caught in Online Sting Operation

A union board member at Saab was confronted by Dumpen after engaging in explicit chats and arranging a meeting with what he believed was a 14-year-old girl.

In July, the man in his 50s contacted a fictitious girl created by Dumpen's team online.

He initiated a lengthy, increasingly sexual chat with the "girl," who told him she was 14 years old.

He sent several pictures of himself and AI-generated love songs.

They arranged to meet at a train station.

"It's not often I go on a date with such a sweet girl," he wrote, adding that he looked forward to her turning 15.

"I want to know what it feels like to make love to you," he wrote, adding a heart emoji.

On their first date, he suggested they could "kiss and cuddle."

Board Member

At the platform, he was confronted and filmed by Dumpen's editor-in-chief, Sara Nilsson.

"This is a grown man in a position of responsibility who laughs off having sex-chatted with what he thought was a child. He should talk about this and explain his thinking. He was the one who contacted our fictitious child to sex chat, and that is absolutely not okay," says Sara Nilsson.

Since 2008, the man had been a union board member at Saab, with an annual turnover of tens of billions of kronor. His assignment ended last Friday.

"We are aware of the incident. The person in question chose to contact us to inform us of the situation and was then asked to immediately leave his position as an employee representative on the board, which he did. Therefore, he is no longer listed as an employee representative on our website. We strongly distance ourselves from all forms of abuse or exploitation of children and work very systematically and committedly with issues related to human rights both in Sweden and other countries," writes Mattias Rådström, Saab's press chief, in an email.

Until recently, the man was also a regional chairman in a trade union.

600 Confronted – Controversial Method

The pedophile hunter site Dumpen sets traps for adults seeking sexual contact with children. Often, by pretending to be children, Dumpen contacts individuals with a sexual interest in children. They arrange meetings, whereupon the individuals are confronted and exposed on Dumpen's site.

So far, over 600 people have been confronted.

The method is controversial. Critics point out that several of the confronted individuals have taken their own lives and that their relatives may suffer undeserved social shame.

Expressen has sought the confronted man.
