Rasmus Paludan, leader of the Danish far-right party Stram Kurs, has been awarded 10,000 SEK in damages after receiving a death threat from a 21-year-old man. The Göta Court of Appeal overturned a previous ruling, recognizing the threat as a serious violation of Paludan's personal integrity.

Rasmus Paludan Awarded Damages After Death Threat
Rasmus Paludan, leader of the Danish far-right party Stram Kurs, has been awarded 10,000 SEK in damages from a man who threatened to kill him.
A 21-year-old man was previously convicted in Linköping District Court for making illegal threats against Paludan in the spring of 2022. However, the court did not consider the threat a significant violation of Paludan's personal integrity to warrant damages. The Göta Court of Appeal has a different view.
The convicted man wrote in a social media post that he wanted to stone Paludan to death. The Court of Appeal emphasized that it was an explicit death threat and that there is no reason to doubt that Rasmus Paludan found the threat extremely frightening.
